Facebook Ads Size Image

Image ads are normally used to show off your brand, service or product using a single photo and an optional footer.

You can create image ads from Ads Manager or you can also boost a post that includes an image from a Facebook Page.

According to Facebook:

"You can use image ads to:

Increase interest in your brand or services. Use an eye-catching photo to showcase your brand personality and prompt people to follow your Facebook Page.

Raise awareness of your products. Choose an interesting image of a product to encourage people to learn more about it.

Deliver a simple message. Convey a clear message that makes people want to take action, such as purchasing a product or visiting your website to learn more about your services.

Image ads appear in multiple placements across Facebook, Instagram, Audience Network and Messenger and support a variety of aspect ratios depending on the placement and whether the image includes a footer."

Minimum Height: 600 pixels

Aspect Ratio Tolerance: 3%

Here are best practices recommendations directly from Facebook:

"Use the recommended aspect ratio for each placement. Different placements across Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and Audience Network require different aspect ratios. For example, you may want to use a 1:1 ratio for Facebook Feed, and a 9:16 ratio for Instagram Stories. Note that you can use the same image with multiple placements and ratios by using the asset customization feature in Ads Manager.

Use high-resolution images. See our minimum pixel size requirements and use the highest resolution images available to avoid your image appearing blurry or pixelated.

Show off your product, service or brand. People scroll through Facebook and Instagram quickly. Show what you're selling, your brand or your logo to communicate your message efficiently.

Avoid too much text on the image itself. We've found that images with less than 20% text perform better, though there is no limit on the amount of text that can exist in your ad image.

Focus your message. Keep the attention of your audience by cropping tightly around the important part of the image. To show multiple images in the same ad, we recommend using the carousel format.

Preview your ads. Use Ads Manager Preview to experience your ads as your audiences will on computers and phones. You can preview your ad at any point during ad creation."
