Hey it’s Henry. Welcome to Exceptional Marketer!
I’m someone who found the internet marketing business model several years ago and have been studying it and learning all about it since then.
It’s a great way to earn a living and it’s a superior business model for several distinctive reasons.
First, it has a low barrier to entry. You don’t need a big pile of money to get started. You don’t need to pay a huge franchise fee, you don’t need to buy furniture and office equipment or inventory and you don’t even need to hire any employees.
All you need is a computer, an internet connection and a desire to be successful—and poof, you’re in business.
The second reason I love this model is because the entire world is your potential customer. Let me explain that.
If your business is a retail business or a professional practice, for example, your customer base is located within a limited geographical distance from your place of business. Let’s face it—no one is going to drive one hundred miles for a hamburger or a dentist appointment.
With internet marketing there are no borders or other geographical limitations. Anyone with an internet connection and an interest in your products or services is your customer, anywhere in the whole wide world!
If you’re selling a digital product, you have the ability to achieve very high profit margins. Information, especially good timely information, is valuable. People will willingly pay for information that will help them reach a desired goal- whether it’s learning to play the piano, train their dog not to bite or earn a great income on the internet.
You can create your product once and sell it over and over. Plus, digital delivery is basically free. An ebook can easily sell for $27-$67 and a complete course can even be priced in the thousands-all at virtually 100% profit.
If you’re selling a physical product, you can drop ship to your customer without ever needing to touch the product. And, there’s software and programs available to take care of ordering your products and handling all the billing and/or collections for you. No need to rent warehouse space and deal with product handling or shipping.
And, finally, there are numerous ways to market on the internet that you can use to attract customers. You can blog, create videos, you can use social media posts or use a wide variety of paid traffic methods.
As an entrepreneur for the past thirty years, I’ve had a great interest is different business models. I’ve studied how to set them up and how to make them work. How to make them efficient and how to make them profitable. I’ve also studied why some are fabulously successful and why others are miserable failures.
The internet marketing model has so many favorable attributes that make it so much easier to succeed. That’s why I love this business!
That’s why I love this business!
But, it’s a business. That means that it’s certainly not “get rich overnight” (as many gurus might have you believe). It means that it takes real honest-to-goodness work and requires a good deal of studying, practicing and learning, sometimes even learning from our mistakes.
This brings me to where I am today. I’ve been working at internet marketing for the last few years with mixed results.
You may be familiar with my story or have even experienced the same things yourself. When learning anything new, you first immerse yourself in information. You want to learn as much as possible as soon as possible and get started on your journey.
However, there’s a lot to learn and, if you’re like me, your email inbox is stuffed daily with emails touting the next great product guaranteed to make you wealthy beyond your dreams, with almost no work on your part.
Everything looks attractive and we actually want it all. We find ourselves jumping from one new thing to the next. It’s called the “shiny object syndrome”. We’ve all fallen victim to it at one time or another.
There are also many “gurus” selling their courses and coaching. As a new internet marketer it’s quite difficult to tell which are legitimate and which to avoid like the plague. Unfortunately, I’ve met some of the latter, but in all fairness, I’ve also met some of the former as well.
But, I’m learning every day and getting better, I hope, as well.
That brings me to my goal with this blog. It’s very simple, really.
I want to use my own experiences, although somewhat limited, to transmit as much useful information to you, my readers, to help you achieve your own success and avoid some of the pitfalls.
I hope to share good tidbits and nuggets of information. Some strategies that I’ve found that work and products that I believe will be helpful.
I’ll review strategies and explain how best to implement them and, from time to time, I’ll also review products and either make recommendations or give them the thumbs down.
We’ll be going on a journey together. When I say we’ll be going “together”, I really mean it. I don’t want to do this all alone. I want to hear your comments, I want to hear your complaints, I want to hear all about your challenges and, finally, I want to hear what you need to help you achieve the success you want.
